Reverse engineering: With our highly skilled Engineering staff and CMM Operators, using two high capacity, certified CMM’s and the latest Quindos and PC-DMIS software, we can recreate any damaged, broken, or obsolete case, gear, or component part. By facilitating these resources, we can reverse engineer and produce nearly any part or assembly, from a drop-in replacement to a complete rebuild of the gearbox.

Complete design - both new and existing gearboxes, speed reducers and speed increasers. Having PEM involved in all the stages of project engineering from planning to installation. PEM will design or write up the specifications for the application. Maintenance inspections - perform and document a complete visual inspection of your gear units. Gear Inspection - PEM will go on-site and visually inspect your gearing and give recommendations on possible ways to increase the L10 life. If the gearbox is at our facility, all components are inspected via one of our two CMM's. Equipment Repair - Whether on-site or at our main facility. Vibration Analysis and Diagnostics - We have developed our own vibration monitoring equipment that is geared specifically to gearboxes. Failure Analysis - 90% of failures are attributive to improper maintenance. We will analyze all defects to present a detailed report on what caused the failure and what the proper course of action to take in order to eliminate the cause of the failure Design Upgrades - Utilizing our proprietary gear design software and FEA we can evaluate your current design so that you will be able to have an increase of up to 35% more HP or torque. This may include upgrading to our Megagears®.
